The Devil's Drivers

In the southern West Bank, two Bedouin cousins make their living the only way left to them: driving undocumented Palestinian workers through the desert and across the unfinished separation barrier, with Israeli patrols close behind. They know every inch of the ground. If they are caught, they go to jail. So they keep driving, and treat each day of freedom as if it might be the last.

Filmed over eight years from inside the car and at home, this is a documentary that plays like a 1970s car-chase thriller—and every frame of it is real.
